Jeff Bell, CIO

Our Data Specialists are some of the very best in their field of expertise. Our team is led by a former healthcare CTO, and current CIO, Jeff Bell. Jeff ran the multi-state-6-year Mercy conversion to Epic and Lawson, finishing on time and on budget. Being that Jeff’s career began as a clinician spanning over 15 years, he knows healthcare. Now with over 25 years as a technology leader with a broad range of experience in large, complex health organizations, Bell has a special focus on large hospitals, health systems, and integrated delivery networks. 

As Keystone’s CIO, Jeff has built world-class Data conversion and Data hosting teams that know the tremendous value of our client’s data the delivery of that data. Keystone’s data conversion services are a proven program and process for EHR and other large data conversion projects converting over 30 different EMR platforms over the last 10+ years. 

In addition to our Epic expertise and certifications, we have deep knowledge of other EMR’s, billing systems and clinical data sets including General Leger, ERP/HR/Payroll, Materials Management, Master Patient Index, Patient Visit History, Lab Results, Allergens, Patient Accounting/Billing, AR/Bad Debt, Radiology Results, Clinician Charting, Transcriptions, Medication History, Immunization History, Patient Problem Lists, Patient Vitals, Future Appointments, Infection History, Scanned Documents and Oncology Results.

Chip Caraway

Chip has mastered the role of being a highly motivated, self-started, data conversion/interface consultant that takes pride in the ability to get data out of just about any system, transforming it, cleansing it, and successfully loading it into any other system on the market. With over 20 years of extensive Data Conversion experience, Chip has completed countless successful conversions including large hospital system conversions and multiple large private practice medical group projects. Chip has solely worked in the healthcare space his entire IT career. 

During Chip’s career at Keystone, he has successfully provided Data Conversion services for BJC Health System, a seven-facility implementation of Epic Systems EHR, obtained Epic Bridges Certification (Version 2017) and was trained as a data mover on Epic’s Data Courier. He also successfully converted data from McKesson’s Horizon Clinicals and IKnowMed, Allscripts-Touchworks, eClinical Works (eCW), NextGen, Compass-Kiddos (old Eclipsys), Meditech, APTA-Connect, PDFViewer, and ClinDesk (CDR) into Epic using HL7 and CCD as an import vehicle. Chip’s Data mining, cleansing, transforming, implementation, loading, archiving, forensics and legal expertise sets him above the rest. 

Chip received his BS in Computer Science from the University of Houston; Victoria, Texas, and Associate of Arts (Business Management Concentration) from San Jacinto College; Pasadena, Texas. Chip is a traveling BBQ master with countless competition awards as well as being on the Operation BBQ relief fund team of volunteers that travel the US and feed thousands during natural disasters. Chip is also a loving husband and proud father of two boys.

Doug Bluntzer

Doug has worked in various areas of IT since 2001. In the last two decades, Doug’s expertise in data conversion, data consulting, systems and networks, application programing, and custom coding has proven results in a multitude of successful projects. Doug has worked in the healthcare space for the majority of his career with over 15 of those years in data conversion projects. 

At Keystone, Doug is essential in performing client data source assessments, executing ETL strategy, Identifies patterns and areas to improve architectures for clients and ensures all solutions developed follow industry and HIPAA standards with the most efficient architectural framework available. Doug is essential to our data team and has completed or assisted in several large-scale hospital system and private medical practice conversions over the last 5 years. Serving as an ETL developer, Doug has successfully extracted data from every system he has been granted access. Doug holds an AWS – Cloud Practitioner certification. 

Doug’s extensive project experience includes being a Data Conversion Contractor for the Mercy Epic project, an Epic Data Conversion Consultant for Washington Hospital, a Data Conversion Consultant for St. Joseph Health Systems, a Data Conversion Analyst at Baptist Health, a Data Conversion Architect at BJC Health System, and an Epic Conversion Analyst for UW Medicine. 

Doug has his BS in Computer Science from the University of Houston-Victoria, TX Campus, and holds an Epic Bridges Certification. Doug is an avid fisherman. He is a proud husband and father of three, including a daughter and fraternal twins.

Reid

Reid Holland

Reid has worked in the IT space since 2010, coding since 2011, and in the software development industry for the last 9. His approach to development includes close alignment with actual customer end users which ultimately leads to greater satisfaction. Reid has spent most of his career in the medical space including an innovative patient portal leveraging InterSystem’s Health Information Exchange (HIE) as the back-end data source. 

Gaining extensive knowledge and experience with very particular security, identity management, and data schema challenges of health data sources giving Reid the unique quality to work specifically with patient care related systems. With a strong background in full-stack application development, DevOps, and database design and development, Reid’s craftsman like ability to work with the specific tools necessary, along with his team leading skills helps to foster a modern software development environment with a confidence and ease that has led to many successful projects in his career. Reid holds an AWS – Cloud Practitioner and an AWS – Solutions Architect Associate Certification. 

Reid’s experience includes holding; QA Analyst and Automation Engineer for TEKsystems, savvisdirect, Services Developer and Dev Manager at Dātu Health, Solution Consultant and Software Developer at Ready Computing. Reid now is a part of the Keystone Technologies family as one of our Data Architect Gurus. Reid enjoys four wheeling, hiking with his two Alaskan Huskies, and spending time with his wife and two girls.
