GDPR Keystone Information Letter

Good Morning,

I’m sure you have noticed the emails and website banners regarding privacy policy updates. We are sending this email to provide some additional guidance on why you are receiving those notices.

In May, the European Parliament and Council agreed upon a data protection regulation called the General Data Protection Regulation, or “GDPR”. Essentially, the GDPR was put in place to ensure that personal data is protected by the companies that are entrusted to keep that data safe.

This law is scoped to include the peoples of the European Union and the companies that do business within those countries. For you personally, this means that many of the web-based companies that you utilize are required to have much tighter security around your data. For your US-based business, the GDPR does not add any additional requirements.

We want you to know that we have spent considerable time reviewing all 88 pages of the GDPR and Keystone is in complete support of continued and increased security around your personal and corporate data. We will continue to comply and encourage the highest standards of cyber security for your business and ours.

If you have questions or would like to schedule a meeting to discuss the GDPR in greater detail, I welcome you to reach out to me.

Thank you,

Adam Sloggett, NOC Manager
