Healthcare IT Veteran Joins Keystone Technologies as CIO

Jeff Bell Brings 35 Years of Experience to Healthcare IT Solutions Leader

ST. LOUIS, MO—(February 09, 2016)—Keystone Technologies, a leading force in health IT and senior care technology solutions, today announced that 35-year industry veteran Jeff Bell has joined the company as Chief Information Officer, effective January 1, 2016.

As Keystone Technologies CIO, Bell will be responsible for strategic IT planning and leadership. He will work closely with other Keystone leaders to integrate business and IT strategies and work directly with clients on technology strategy. Bell will have a special focus on large hospitals, health systems, and integrated delivery networks.

Bell comes to Keystone from Datu Health, where he served as CTO and Senior Vice President of Technology. Prior to Datu, Bell served with St. Louis-based Mercy Health System for eight years in a variety of roles including CTO, COO of Information Services, and Chief Project Officer in the Project Management Office. While at Mercy, he helped create and execute the Genesys Project, a five-year program that replaced all core clinical and back-office systems. Bell also played a pivotal role in upgrading technical infrastructure, people, and processes at Mercy to achieve a 99.9 percent uptime for all major applications.

“Jeff brings deep expertise in technology’s impact on delivering healthcare and improving health,” said Andy Belval, President and COO of Keystone Technologies. “In light of some major shifts in the industry, including movement towards population health management and value-based care reimbursement, technology and data are becoming increasingly central to improving health outcomes. Jeff’s unique perspective will prove invaluable as we continue to develop innovative services and solutions that best meet the evolving needs of the healthcare market.”

“Working within health systems to improve healthcare through technology, Jeff has a unique perspective on how Keystone can help clients improve patient outcomes and the health of the communities they serve,” said Eric Humes, Chairman and CEO of Keystone Technologies. “He has managed large technical teams and will provide a needed perspective to developing an IT strategy that is integrated with the overall business strategy. It is an exciting time at Keystone, with the recent merger of Keystone IT and Keystone Technologies. We are blessed to have Jeff on board.”
